Notorious British serial killer Peter Tobin is back behind bars after he was rushed to hospital earlier this week.

The 75-year-old collapsed in Saughton prison before being taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

According to Daily Record he is now back in prison after a health scare.

In recent years the vile killer has been rushed to hospital numerous times.

In 2016 he was found slumped in his cell at HMP Edinburgh and was admitted for medical treatment.

Four years earlier in 2012 he was also taken to hospital when he was having symptoms of a stroke.

Tobin is currently serving a whole life order at Edinburgh prison for murders of Angelika Kluk, Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol between 1991 and 2006.

Prior to his first murder conviction in 2007, Tobin served 10 years behind bars for a double rape of two 14-year-old girls in 1993.

When sentenced to life in prison for the 2006 rape and murder of Angelika Kluk in Glasgow, police discovered the two bodies at his former home in Margate, Kent.

The remains were that of Vicky Hamilton (15) and Dinah McNicol (18) who vanished from Bathgate and Tillingham in 1991.

Police believe that he may be responsible for other killings, and Peter himself has boasted to fellow prisoners that he has killed up to 50 people.

He has also been linked to unidentified serial killer Bible John who killed three young women between 1968 and 1969 in Glasgow.

All victims met their murderer at Barrowland Ballroom in the city, somewhere Peter was known to frequent at the time.

However, Peter has denied that he is the unidentified killer.

“People just think I am Bible John but I’m not. It wasn’t me. Nothing to do with me. I didn’t kill them," he reportedly told his cellmate last year.

“He was talking to me about his past and said he wasn’t Bible John. He didn’t seem that fussed about it," the cellmate told Daily Record.

“I believe him when he says about not being Bible John as he said stuff about his other murders that haven’t been made public.

"Maybe he wants to get stuff off his chest before he dies but it’s stomach-churning.

"He told me things about some of the murders he’s committed and said things about other murders police don’t know about and bodies they’ve been looking for but haven’t found.”

The source also told the publication that Tobin claimed his first killing was in Glasgow when he was in his early 20s.

“He said she was from the Barrowlands but not one of the ones from Bible John."

"He wouldn’t say if her body has been found or where she is," he continued.

"He said he’s killed 10 women in total, including a woman from Brighton who police have not found. It’s like he wanted to get this off his chest.

"He’s an evil old man. He’s told anyone who will listen details about his crimes.”
