Jeffrey Epstein's private jet 'Lolita Express' made several Irish stops

The Irish stops - varying from hours to days - have been uncovered during a review by the Herald of hundreds of flights clocked up as the purported billionaire's notorious 'Lolita Express' private jet criss-crossed the globe before his shocking fall from grace.

The deceased financier's aircraft touched down in Dublin on May 2, 1996 after arriving from Teteboro airport in New Jersey.

Teteboro is most commonly used by wealthy people travelling by private aircraft.

It is only about 20km from Manhattan and is where Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in 2019 on sex trafficking charges.

The records show Epstein's private Boeing 727 jet - with the N908JE tail number - left Teteboro on May 2 en route to Dublin.

On board were Jeffrey Epstein and seven other passengers. The next day, a Friday, the jet took off from Dublin for Waterford. That flight had five passengers.

But Epstein wasn't one of them.

He appears to have made his way from Dublin to Waterford by other means, but was picked up in Waterford by his private jet for a flight to Paris on May 3.

When it took off, the passengers who had been on board that quick flight from Dublin to Waterford were no longer on board.

It took off for Paris with just Epstein and one other passenger. After landing in Paris, Epstein's jet later repositioned to Geneva, Switzerland.

It departed there on May 6, 1996, landing in Shannon to refuel before making its way to Teteboro the same day.

In July 2000, Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell flew from London to Belfast, before flying onwards to Bangor in Maine the same day.

The jet - dubbed the 'Lolita Express' - was pressed into action on June 7, 2002, to go to Dublin from London's Luton Airport.

In Dublin, it picked up Epstein, Maxwell and Sarah Kellen - Epstein's then personal assistant - before making its way to New York's JKF airport.

Later that year, on November 24, the jet made a journey from St Petersburg in Russia to Shannon.

Epstein was on that flight, as was Maxwell, Sarah Kellen and another passenger who travelled on a number of flights on the Epstein jet.

After landing in Shannon to refuel, the jet flew on to JFK airport in New York. In 2008, the aircraft was back at Shannon, having arrived from Teteboro with just one passenger, and made its way on to Paris.

One aviation consultant who toured the now decaying Epstein private jet last year said it was decorated like something from the 1970s disco era.
