'Witch hunt' Infamous snap of Prince Andrew with accuser was her ‘Irish body double’ his ex claims
It comes as legal action was brought against the Prince by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre
Prince Andrew’s ex-girlfriend Lady Victoria Hervey has claimed that the infamous picture of the former Duke of York with his accuser Virginia Guiffre is fake.
The 45-year-old has claimed that the woman shown in the picture with him is actually an “Irish body double.”
Taking to Instagram, Victoria, shared an edited version of the picture that just shows Virginia Giuffre and said “anyone familiar with this photo?”
She followed the image up by posting a side by side of the edited photo with the infamous image.
“Do you believe that photo is real?” she asked, adding: “Or what if I told you a survivor of Epstein's told me it’s an Irish body double that was edited in?"
She also posted further photos showing a woman dressed similar to the woman in the picture with Prince Andrew.
“Here’s another clue,” she said, sharing a second image and adding: “How did no one figure this out before is mind boggling.”
In 2019, Prince Andrew denied the photograph was ‘real’, telling BBC Newsnight: “You can't prove whether or not that photograph is faked because it's a photograph of a photograph of a photograph.”
“It's very difficult to be able to prove it but I don't remember that photograph being taken…That's me but whether that's my hand…I have simply no recollection of the photograph ever being taken.”
It comes just days after socialite Lady Victoria branded the case against Ghislaine Maxwell as a “witch hunt.”
“This story has been so blown out of proportion,” she said in an Instagram post.
“Or has it? Nobody knows. People are literally murdering people in LA and getting out of jail. It’s a real life Gotham City blood bath.”
“I know Ghislaine is obviously not a saint and should pay back the trauma caused to her ‘victims’ but lifetime in jail for touching a girl's tit 20 years ago and taking them on yacht, private jet and shopping trips. Come on. This has become a witch hunt.”
Last month, she appeared on ITV’s Lorraine via video link from Los Angeles this morning, where she said “Ghislaine was a victim.”
“I mean to be honest, I think Ghislaine was a victim and is a victim.”
“She was a victim that then became the accomplice as her role changed in that relationship when they were no longer together. She kind of switched sides.”
“I do see her as a victim as well,” she added.
Lorraine questioned her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell asking: “Why do you think, if you were just an ordinary girl with no connections, do you think she specifically wanted you in that place?”
“At the time I was the IT girl of London, on the social scene, everyone knew me, I was at every dinner event. It was a plus having me on her list of who to invite,” she said.
“It probably kept it more interesting for all the men she was entertaining. Obviously you want to have attractive girls who are the hot girls in London at the time.”
She also said that Epstein and Maxwell were “definitely a double act”.
“It wouldn't have worked with him on his own. It was a lot easier for her to approach other women being female.”
“Girls would feel less intimidated and less scared, rather than a man. It would have been a lot less obvious in that respect.”
Prince Andrew has denied all allegations made against him.
