The man charged over the alleged abduction of Cleo Smith in Australia had a room full of dolls and toys in his house, it has emerged.

Terence Darrell Kelly (36) was charged with various offences including forcibly taking a child under the age of 16.

Kelly, from Carnavon, Western Australia, was arrested after police rescued the four-year-old from a locked house after an 18-day search.

She was found inside a property in Carnarvon, two miles from her family home, and 62 miles south of the campsite she went missing from.

Police have not yet revealed how they came to believe Kelly abducted Cleo or how she got from the campsite where she went missing to the house where she was found.

Earlier today, it emerged that Kelly had exhibited some strange behaviour on several Facebook profiles online prior to the alleged abduction.

He used one profile, where he called himself ‘Bratz DeLuca,’ to detail his obsession with children’s Bratz dolls.

He also used this account to share images of himself posing with the dolls as well as photos of his extensive collection.

In one post, he wrote: “I love my dolls,” while another said: “I love taking my dolls for drive arounds and doing their hair and taking selfies in public.”

“Nothing beats chilling at home with my Bratz dolls,” a third post read.

In a fourth, he described himself as “mamma's little brat.”

As well as Bratz dolls, Kelly collected other children’s toys such as Disney Princess dolls, which he also shared photos of online.

Additionally, Kelly used these profiles to claim that he was the father of several young children but neighbours maintain that he is childless.

Australian police have refused to comment on the photos taken from his Facebook profiles, but previously said that Cleo was playing with toys when she was found.
