The victim (58) was later taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries


A man has been stabbed in the head in a knife attack in west Belfast.

The incident happened last night in the Norglen Parade area at around 7.50pm.

The 58-year-old victim suffered knife wounds to his head and left wrist during the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries .

A 33-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He remains in custody at this time.
