A woman is being quizzed by gardai in Sligo as part of an investigation into organised crime.
The woman is currently detained at Sligo Garda Station under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 where she can be held for up to seven days.
Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
According to the Sligo Champion, gardaí had carried out a number of searches in a “day of action” against organised criminal gangs on Thursday.
A number of houses and forestry lands were searched.
The paper reported that gardaí had said approximately €60,000 in illegal drugs was seized and taken off the streets of Sligo and surrounding communities.
