Willie Maughan's dad says it will break his heart if no-one is charged over son's death
William Maughan and Ana were killed
Father of murder victim William Maughan said it will break his heart if no-one is charged after investigating gardaí made another arrest at the weekend.
Joe Maughan has campaigned tirelessly for justice for his son William and girlfriend Ana Varsalane who are believed to have been murdered by associates of mobster Cornelius Price in April 2015.
“It’s a long six and a half years now since those things happened,” he said.
“We’re hoping someone else might say something, that’s the basic story.”
“In fairness the police that took it over are working hard on it. If it is worthwhile at the end – I pray every night it will be.”

“There’s always a possibility it won’t be – it will break my heart if a file is sent to the DPP and the DPP comes back and says ‘we haven’t enough to go on’ when everybody in the world knows who done it.”
A woman was arrested on suspicion of withholding information and questioned by gardaí at Ashbourne last Saturday and has since been released.
It brings to five the number of people arrested by the investigation team.
The woman who was arrested at the weekend is suspected of being at the scene when the tragic couple were attacked.
Price is currently on bail in the UK awaiting a December trial in relation to a kidnap plot that was foiled by UK police last year.
