Two men being quizzed at Tallaght Garda station after gardai seize gun
Two men are currently being quizzed at Tallaght Garda station after gardai seized a gun following a search operation in Palmerstown last night.
The two men, one who is in his 30s and the other in his 20s, were arrested after a motorbike caught the attention of gardai in the Fortunestown Lane area.
The vehicle failed to remain at the scene when requested to do by gardaí.
However, the bike was located a short time later at a Service Station on the N4 at Palmerstown.

A search then resulted in the recovery of the weapon.
Gardai said both men are currently being detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Tallaght Garda station. They can be held for up to 72 hours.
“Investigations are ongoing,” gardai added.
