Gardaí seized €160,000 worth of cannabis during the search operation

Gardaí have arrested two men after seizing €160,000 worth of cannabis in Dublin today.

Earlier today, Wednesday 1st December, a joint operation was conducted by the Revenue Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), and the DMR Balbriggan Divisional Drugs Unit.

It was conducted as part of ongoing investigations targeting persons suspected to be involved in an organised crime group operating in the Skerries area.

During the operation, a premises was searched and 8kg of suspected cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €160,000 was discovered and seized by Revenue Officers.

Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, at the scene.

Both are detained at Balbriggan Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
