A man and a woman have been arrested after almost €120,000 worth of drugs were found in a Wexford property.

Earlier today, Revenue officers along with the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Wexford Divisional Drug Unit searched a premises in the Enniscorthy area as part of an intelligence-led operation.

During the search, officers discovered quantities of the stimulant drug chloromethcathinone and herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €118,450 inside the property.

The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), and the Wexford Divisional Drugs Unit.

A man (46) and a woman (47), were arrested by gardaí in connection with this seizure.

Both are currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996 at Enniscorthy Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.

This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
