Big Mi-snake Tarantulas, scorpion, snake, 38 dogs, and even a millipede seized in Dublin

An astonishing array of animals including 38 dogs and puppies, cats, parrots, tarantulas, a snake, a scorpion and even a millipede have been rescued from what have been described as inhumane conditions in Dublin.

Tallaght gardaí alongside the DSPCA and with assistance from South Dublin County Council’s dog warden seized the animals following searches of two apartments in Citywest.

"As part of a multiagency operation, gardaí recovered 38 dogs/puppies and other animals which were being kept in inhumane living conditions,” the force said this afternoon.

“Other animals recovered from the premises included cats, parrots, tarantulas, a snake, a scorpion and a millipede.

"The animals were removed from the premises and have been taken by the DSPCA for veterinary treatment.

"No arrests have been made at this time and this investigation is ongoing."
