Con-flict Man arrested following 'consaw brawl' incident in Tipperary

It has been reported that video footage, which is being shared on WhatsApp, shows two men brawling while holding consaws on the public street.

A man has been arrested in connection with an incident involving consaws in Co. Tipperary yesterday.

The incident took place in Ballina just after 9.30pm on Tuesday.

It has been reported that video footage, which is being shared on WhatsApp, shows two men brawling while holding consaws on the public street.

A garda spokesperson confirmed that a man in his 30s was arrested for public order offences and was later detained at Killaloe Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.

The spokesperson said: “Gardaí arrested a man (30s) for public order offences following an incident in Ballina, Co. Tipperary on Tuesday, 2nd November 2021.

“The incident occurred at approximately 9.35pm. The arrested man was later detained at Killaloe Garda Station. Investigations ongoing.”
