A total of 183 cannabis plants were seized, all at different stages of growth.
Gardai in Waterford seized a huge haul of cannabis plants worth over €130,000 and arrested a man last night.
Officers attached to the Waterford Divisional Drug unit assisted by members of the Crime Unit carried out a search at a house in Lismore Park at approximately 9pm on Sunday night.
During the search they found a large growing facility which was ventilated and insulated to grow cannabis. A total of 183 cannabis plants were seized, all at different stages of growth.
The plants, which are subject to analysis, are worth a whopping €130,800.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Waterford Garda Station.
He is being held under Section 2, Criminal Justice Drug (Trafficking Act), 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
