
drugs seized Man arrested after major €270k cannabis haul in Co Laois
A man has been arrested by the Gardaà today after almost €270k worth of cannabis was discovered in a Co Laois residence.
Gardaà seized approximately the drugs following the search of a property in Mountrath, Co. Laois this morning.
The joint search was conducted by Mountrath Gardaà and Divisional Drugs Unit in Portlaoise.
A man in his thirties was arrested at the scene.
The man was taken to Portlaoise Garda Station where he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
