A man was arrested after a whopping haul of drugs worth approximately €124,220 was seized by gardaí this morning.

Gardaí seized the drugs following the search of an apartment under warrant in the New Road area of Clondalkin in Dublin.

During the course of the search, officers found suspected diamorphine with an estimated value of €122,220, as well as suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €2,000.

A man in his thirties was arrested at the scene and was taken to Clondalkin Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 2 of the Misuse of Drugs Act of 1996.

The search was part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs, and was conducted by the Ballyfermot Divisional Drugs Unit.
