Busted Man arrested after gardai seize cocaine worth €245K and garda vehicle damaged in Limerick

Gardai arrested a man after seizing a whopping €245,000 worth of suspected cocaine during a search in Co Limerick yesterday.

At approximately 3:30pm yesterday afternoon, Gardaí stopped a vehicle on the R510 in the Raheen area.

As they searched the vehicle, they discovered the drugs worth an estimated €245,000 (pending analysis).

During the operation, a garda vehicle was damaged, a spokesperson for An Garda Siochana revealed.

A male in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is being currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Henry Street Garda station. He can be held for up to 7 days.

Investigations are ongoing.
