Drugs bust Man arrested after gardai seize €80,000 worth of cannabis herb in Terenure
Gardai were carrying out searches of the local area as part of an operation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Terenure and Rathmines areas.
A man has been arrested after €80,000 worth of cannabis herb was seized in South Dublin last night.Â
The drugs were discovered by Gardaà from the Terenure District Drugs Unit.
They were carrying out searches of the local area as part of an operation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Terenure and Rathmines areas.
At approximately 10.15pm, they seized 4kg of cannabis herb, valued at an estimated €80,000 (pending analysis) at one residence.
A 25 year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards.
He is currently detained at Terenure Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act 1996.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
In a later tweet gardai added: ‘Gardaà have seized cannabis herb believed to be worth €80,000 (pending analysis) and arrested a 25 year-old man following a search in the Terenure area last night.’
The tweet shows a picture of four bags containing the suspected drugs.
