Drugs bust Man arrested after gardai seize €36K of suspected cocaine and cash in Oranmore, Co Galway
A man in his 30s was arrested after gardai seized €36,000 worth of cocaine in a small Co Galway town.
At approximately 6:45pm on Friday, December 18, officers from the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit stopped and searched a vehicle in the Oranmore Village area.
During the search, they discovered approximately €8,000 of suspected cocaine and €800 in cash.
A follow-up search in the area yielded another haul of suspected cocaine, worth a whopping €28,000.

All the drugs seized are subject to analysis.
A man in his 30s was arrested and detained at the North Western Regional Garda Headquarters in Galway under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
He was later released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Investigations are ongoing.
