Drugs seized in Drogheda
A man has been arrested after Gardaí seized a huge haul of drugs worth over €71,000 in Drogheda, Co Louth.
Officers uncovered the drugs while searching an apartment on Fair Street in the town this afternoon Thursday, January 6.
Gardai obtained a search warrant under Operation Tara and ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Drogheda.

A quantity of cannabis herb, cocaine and heroin was seized. All drugs will now be sent for analysis.
A man was present in the apartment and was arrested at the scene. He was taken to Drogheda Garda station where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
He remains in Garda custody.
