A man and a woman have been arrested by Gardaí in Drogheda investigating the murder of a juvenile in January 2020.

Both were arrested in Drogheda and are being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.

The man is being detained at Drogheda Garda Station, and the woman is detained at Balbriggan Garda Station.

Gardai said that this brings to seven the number of arrests in this investigation to date.

The killing of the teen has been linked to the Drogheda feud which has claimed four lives and seen around 100 violent incidents.

He was last seen alive on January 12 in Drogheda.

The victim cannot be named because of a recent ruling in the Court of Appeal which prohibits the naming of child murder victims.
