Man (53) arrested as £36,000 of suspected drugs seized in raid linked to UDA criminality

Suspected drugs recovered in Bangor
The PSNI have seized £36,000 of suspected drugs during a search of a residential property linked to UDA criminality.
Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force, investigating suspected drugs criminality linked to the gang in North Down searched a property in the Ballyholme area of Bangor.
The team, working with local officers, enlisted the help of Police Dog Jess.

During the search, a quantity of suspected Class A controlled drugs and a mixing agent, with an estimated value of approximately £36,000, were recovered.
A 53-year-old-man was arrested and remains in police custody at this time.
In a statement, Detective Inspector O’Neill said: “Today’s arrest reflects our ongoing commitment to safeguarding local people.
