A man has been arrested in North Dublin after another man was rushed to hospital following an assault in Baldoyle.
Gardaí are currently at the scene of the incident which occurred at approximately 1pm this afternoon.
A man in his 30s, who was arrested, is currently being held at Clontarf Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination.
Meanwhile, the injured man, aged in his 50s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment, with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
“Gardaí are currently at the scene of a serious assault in Baldoyle, Dublin 13 which occurred at approximately 1pm this afternoon, Wednesday 28th January 2021,” a spokesperson revealed.
“A male, aged in his 50s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment, with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
“A male, aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Clontarf Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
"The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination.”
