Garda say a lone male entered the business premises on Jamestown Road armed with a weapon and threatened staff members
A man is due in court this morning following an armed raid in Finglas, north Dublin yesterday afternoon.
The man in his 50s was arrested by gardaí in Finglas after the robbery of a business on Jamestown Road, Dublin 11 at approximately 5pm.
Garda say the man armed with a weapon and threatened staff members.
He then fled the scene on foot with a sum of money.
“In a follow up search of the area, gardaí arrested one man (50s) and the stolen cash from the premises were located,” a garda spokesperson said.
“He was taken to Finglas Garda station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
"He has since been charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear this morning Tuesday, March 8 at Blanchardstown District Court, Court Number 1 at 10.30am.
“The investigation is ongoing.”
