Witness appeal Man (30s) seriously injured in horror stabbing in Ballymun, north Dublin

Gardaí attended the scene and he was taken to the Mater Hospital by ambulance where his condition is described as serious but stable.

A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Dublin in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The casualty, aged in his 30s, was discovered around 3:15am this morning with serious injuries on Shangan Avenue, Ballymun.

Gardaí attended the scene and he was taken to the Mater Hospital by ambulance where his condition is described as serious but stable.

The scene was preserved for a technical examination which has since concluded.
