Operation Tara Man (30s) charged after gardai seize €200,000 worth of cocaine in Tallaght

A man has been arrested after €200,000 worth of suspected cocaine was seized in Tallaght yesterday.

At approximately 8.30pm on Saturday night, gardaí in Tallaght searched a property in the area as part of Operation Tara.

During the search, €200,000 worth of cocaine was seized and a man in his 30s was arrested at the scene.

The man was detained for questioning at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and has since been charged.

He is expected to appear before the Tallaght District Court later this month.

Gardaí have seized €200,000 worth of suspected cocaine following a planned search operation in Tallaght, Dublin on 2nd October 2021.

The drugs will now be sent for analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.

Investigations are ongoing.
