A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital yesterday after he was assaulted in a shop in Galway City. 

Gardaí have said no arrests have been made after the young man was attacked on the Newcastle Road.

However, investigations are ongoing.

“Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault that occurred on February 15, in a shop on the Newcastle Road, Galway City where a male (20s) was injured,” gardaí said.

“He was taken to University Hospital Galway for treatment.

“No arrests have been made. Investigations are going.”
