The luxurious desert hideaways and secret Spanish boltholes of the seven “key members” of the Kinahan cartel hit with sanctions have been revealed in documents published by the United States government.

All seven, including leaders Christopher Snr and his two sons, Daniel and Christopher Jnr, have been placed on an Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) list which was released by the US Treasury Department.

The seven also include gangster Liam Byrne's former right-hand man, Sean McGovern, and Tallaght native Ian Dixon - a relative of Daniel Kinahan's mother.
