Kinahan Cartel lieutenant Ross Browning puts up no defence in CAB case

Senior Counsel Shane Costello told the CAB hearings today that Browning is the main respondent in the case, but he has yet to receive instructions from him.

Proceedings were issued last July, and the case was mentioned in virtual hearings conducted this morning by Justice Alexander Owens.

The court heard that the case is adjourned under agreement to March and a fresh party is looking to be attached to the proceedings to represent the estate of Browning’s grandfather ‘Mr Conway’ who passed away in March 2018.

The court heard that it was the wishes of Mr Conway to leave property to his daughter Julie Conway who is Ross Browning’s mother.

The Sunday World understands that Browning moved to the United Arab Emirates in the months before the CAB proceedings were launched and is often in the company of mob boss Daniel Kinahan.

The Bureau hope to strip him of a millionaire's fortune including a 1.2-acre private estate in Garristown in County Dublin where he built paddocks, a warehouse that resembled a show-jumping arena and two separate houses along with sites in picturesque Rush.

For years fitness fanatic Browning portrayed himself as an ordinary gym owner and even kept an address at Hardwicke Street flats where he grew up. He followed a spiritual guru, Dr Robert O’Young, and followed a vegan zen life.

Browning has been a top target for both the CAB and the Garda’s Drug and Organised Crime Bureau for years and is suspected as being one of the most senior members of the Kinahan Cartel in Ireland.
