A DAUGHTER of notorious Dublin heroin boss Tony Felloni has avoided jail for drug dealing at her home.

Regina Felloni (46) was given a 10-month suspended sentence by a judge who said she was being spared prison on condition that she addresses her “pro-criminal thinking.”

Felloni’s father Tony, nicknamed “King Scum” accompanied his daughter as she walked free from the Criminal Courts of Justice afterwards.

Regina Felloni pleaded guilty to possession of heroin with intent to sell or supply at her home address at McCarthy Terrace, James's Walk, Rialto.

She also admitted a related count of simple possession of the drug in the same incident.

The offences, under sections 15 and 3 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, happened on June 20, 2019.

The case had been before Dublin District Court in September and Regina Felloni came back before Judge Ann Ryan for the production of a probation report.

Defence solicitor Brian Coveney said the court had heard facts and mitigation on the earlier date. Felloni had previous convictions going back a number of years, the court heard.

Judge Ryan said she felt the involvement of the probation service had been appropriate given the value of the drugs - around €2,000.

She suspended the 10 month sentence for a year and said conditions were that Felloni continues to address her substance misuse and engages in rehabilitation as directed, and in a “programme of intervention to address her pro-criminal thinking.”

The suspended sentence bond was in the accused's own sum of €200 and will come up for review in November 2021.

The accused’s father Tony Felloni (77), who was not before the court, waited outside for his daughter until she had signed the suspended sentence bond and both then left the Criminal Courts of Justice together.

Regina Felloni has previously served time in prison for heroin dealing.

Tony Felloni was jailed for 20 years in 1996 for drug trafficking offences relating to the sale and supply of heroin with a street value of more than €444,000.

The father-of-eight, from Lower Dominick St, Dublin, has been blamed for escalating the capital's serious heroin problem in the 1980s. He was considered by the gardai to be a key dealer for two decades.
