A fundraiser to repatriate the body of a Brazilian woman who was stabbed to death in her Finglas apartment has received an enormous support.

Fabiole Camara De Campos (32), from São Paulo in Brazil but living in Ireland for five years, was found dead at her home in Charlestown Place on St Margaret's Road on Thursday morning.

She suffered multiple severe knife injuries to the head and neck.

Her husband Diego Costa Silva (32) was arrested on suspicion of murder and was later charged. He will face his next hearing at Cloverhill District Court via video link on Friday.

Meanwhile, Fabiole’s childhood friend Daniela Loyarte has set up a GoFundMe page to cover the costs of returning the deceased’s body back to her family in Brazil.

Daniela said that Fabiole’s family and friends are “deeply sad” after her death and are “immensely grateful” for all the support they’ve received.

“In addition to facing the pain in this moment, family and friends must now bear the costs to transfer Fabiole's body,” Daniela wrote.

“For this reason, we ask for your help, with any amount, just so Fabiole can return to her country of origin and her family members can pay their last tribute and say goodbye.

“Fabiole's family and friends are immensely grateful for your contribution and we ask that everyone continue to pray for our dearly and eternal (sic) friend’s soul.”

The GoFundMe page, which was set up over the weekend, has raised €12,748 of its €20,000 goal to date.
