GoFundMe to pay funeral costs for tragic mum of five raises nearly €25k

A heartbreaking appeal to raise money to help pay for the funeral of tragic mum Zeinat Bashabsheh has almost reached its goal.
The appeal that was created on GoFundMe by her older children just three days ago has already raised a total of €24,504 out of a €30,000 goal for the mother-of-five who was found dead in her Co Wicklow home on Christmas Eve.
Entitled ‘Raising money for a funeral for my mam’ the appeal has been organised by Adam Alzubi who wrote: “Hi everyone, this is breaking my heart having to right this today I lost my mother today I haven’t lost anyone close to me before.
“My mother was only 42 years of age, still had her life to live.
“My Mam was the most beautiful and amazing women there was she was so anything for her kids she had 5 kids... Layth who is 22, Adam who is 20, Zara who is nine, Saba who is eight and Balqees who is five.
“The three girls are going to have to be raised now by the two older brothers, they have lost both parents.”

Adam writes that he set up the fundraiser, “So that it could pay for her funeral as little as €1 would help so much thank you everyone, hope yous all have a beautiful Christmas and a good New Year’s.”
He adds that any money that is left from the funeral, “will be going towards the girls helping them with their future.”
Hundreds of people have donated to the appeal with numerous messages of support and sympathy left for the children.
“I am so sorry this happened to your family. Your mother was a lovely person,” one person has written.
“So sorry for your loss, my prayers are with you all,” adds another.
One other has added: “So sorry for your loss. Heart-breaking for you all, my thoughts are with you.”
Zeinat’s partner Bahaalddin Alshwawrah was charged with her murder after she was discovered at her home at Park Na Sillogue Court in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow at around 4pm on Christmas Eve.
The 42-year-old appeared in court in Bray, Co Wicklow in connection with her fatal assault on St Stephen’s Day and was remanded in custody to Cloverhill remand prison until December 29.
