Gardai use ladders to scale walls during dramatic search operation in Darndale
This is the moment armed gardai launched a raid during a major operation in north Dublin in front of stunned motorists on Friday.
A convoy of marked and unmarked garda vehicles entered Belcamp Lane in Dublin 17 as motorists looked on around 5pm on Friday.
At the same time as the garda convoy was driving into the lane a team of gardai from the armed support unit blocked off one side of the N32 which backs onto the lane and pulled out extendable ladders to climb onto walls at the rear of the site.
Dozens of officers from a number of units including the Armed Support Unit and the Public Order Unit were involved in the raid.
While there was a large number of officers involved in the raid gardai did not find any items of note and made no arrests during the operation.
