Gardaí seize submachine gun and ammo during search of stolen jeep
No arrests have been made at this time.
Gardaí have seized a submachine gun and ammunition following the search of a stolen jeep in Co. Dublin on Wednesday afternoon.
The jeep was seized and taken from the Greenhills area of Dublin for technical examination.
A black Uzi submachine gun with an attached silencer, a quantity of ammunition, and a firearm magazine were discovered during this search.
The gun and ammo will now be forwarded to An Garda Síochána’s Ballistics section for forensic examination.
No arrests have been made at this time and investigations are ongoing.
