Drugs haul Gardai seize cocaine, watches and phones in cross-county operation

This is the haul of drugs, watches and phones seized by gardai following a cross-county operation.

Gardai said members of the Divisional Drugs Task Force in Castlebar seized a quantity of cocaine - as well as other illegal drugs - after a vehicle in Kilmaine, Co. Mayo was searched.

One male was arrested and taken into custody.

A garda spokesman said the seizure in Mayo lead to a further operation in South Dublin.

"Following this incident, a joint Operation was put in place between Gardaí in Castlebar (Mayo) and Gardaí in Dun Laoghaire (DMR).

"A subsequent search was carried out by Dun Laoghaire Gardaí where a further large quantity of Cocaine and other illegal drugs were seized, in addition to a number of watches, mobile phones and other miscellaneous illegal items.

"Suspect was charged and bailed - Investigation is ongoing."
