Gardaí seize €70,000 of suspected cannabis during Galway house search
No arrests were made during the search, and gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí seized €70,000 worth of suspected cannabis during the search of a house in Galway city this weekend.
Officers from the Divisional Drugs Unit searched a house in the Doughiska area where they found the suspected drugs.
No arrests were made during the search, and gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.

“This seizure forms part of Operation Tara, an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy, which was launched by Garda Commissioner Drew Harris on July 2, 2021,” a garda statement revealed.
“The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels - international, national, local - involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs.”
