Gardai have issued a fresh appeal for information on an assault in Dublin earlier this month that left a man in a critical condition in hospital.

The victim, who is aged in his 60s, was assaulted by a group of men during the incident which occurred at Fairview Strand, Dublin 3, on June 7 at approximately 11.10pm.

He is still being treated in the Mater Hospital nearly two weeks after the attack.

Gardaí are particularly appealing to anyone travelling through the area around the time of the incident who may have dash–cam or camera footage to come forward.

Anyone with information can contact Raheny Garda Station on 01 666 4300, Clontarf at 01 666 4800 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

To date three men, all aged in their 20s, have been arrested and questioned at Raheny Garda Station.

They have all been released without charge with files to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
