In custody Gardai make a third arrest over alleged €1 million theft at accountancy firm

Gardaí launched the investigation following a complaint that false expenses claims were made at the company between 2019 and 2020.

A man in his early 30s was arrested today in connection to an alleged theft of over €1 million from an accountancy firm.

Gardaí launched a probe following a complaint that false expenses claims in excess of €1 million euro were made at the company between 2019 and 2020.

Gardaí and the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB) arrested the man this morning.

He is being held in Terenure Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

This is the third arrest made as part of the investigation.

A garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
