Tragic news Gardaí investigating 'unexplained' death of woman (40) at flat in Monaghan
“The local Coroner has been notified and the services of the State Pathologist and Garda Technical Bureau have been requested”
Gardaí are investigating an “unexplained” death of a woman whose body was found in Monaghan early this morning.
Gardaí and Ambulance Services were called to an apartment on Lakeside Walk shortly after 2am.
The woman (40) was pronounced dead at the scene, which is currently preserved.

“The local Coroner has been notified and the services of the State Pathologist and Garda Technical Bureau have been requested,” a spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said.
They added that the results of a post-mortem examination will determine the course of a Garda investigation in the case.
Meanwhile, enquires are “ongoing”.
