Gardaí investigate alleged sexual assault of teenage girl in Limerick

Gardaí in Limerick have launched an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl earlier this month.

The incident is believed to have taken place in Bruff on the evening of Saturday, May 7th.

It is believed the alleged injured party is a female under the age of 18 while the accused is believed to be a male juvenile, according to the Limerick Leader.

“There was a group of youngsters that got together outside after a big gathering in the locality,” a local told the publication.

Gardaí have confirmed that an investigation is underway, with a spokesperson saying: “Gardaí in Bruff are investigating an alleged assault that occurred in Bruff on the evening of Saturday 7th May, 2022.

“Investigations ongoing.”
