A horde of football hooligans attacked a pub in Dublin this afternoon ahead of the FAI Cup final.

As over 37,000 fans made their way to the Bohemians FC vs St Patrick's Athletic game in the Aviva Stadium, gardai and emergency services were alerted to the disturbance at Irishtown House.

There was an outbreak of violence as two groups clashed at the pub on Irishtown Road.

The pub is near the stadium where the game kicked off at 4pm.

"Watch your head, watch your head", an onlooker calls as another man ducks while the missiles fly.

A garda spokesperson told sundayworld.com: "An Garda Síochána is aware of an incident that occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, 28th November, 2021, on the Irishtown Road, Dublin 4.

"Order was quickly restored by Gardaí who attended the scene. Investigations into this matter are ongoing."

St Patrick's Athletic won 4-3 on penalties during extra time after the teams were level at 1-1 at full time.
