Cars, motorbikes, cash and watches seized by CAB in Kildare, Wexford and Kilkenny

Cars, motorbikes, cash and designer watches are included in a haul seized in a Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) operation in Kildare, Wexford and Kilkenny this morning.

CAB officers working in conjunction with local gardaí in the Naas District and supported by the Emergency Response Unit and the Customs Dog Unit, conducted search operations at six separate locations.

The items seized included a BMW X5 (211 Registration); BMW motorcycle (151 Registration); a Yamaha motorcycle (141 Registration); cash totalling €13,500; and 12 watches including six Rolexes, two Audemars Piguets and two Cartiers.

“This morning’s operation was conducted in the context of an ongoing CAB proceeds of crime investigation targeting assets linked to a significant drug trafficker and his associates residing in the Kildare area,” gardai said.

“The case was referred to the Bureau by a profiler working in the Naas Garda District and reflects the continued importance of the asset profiler network in identifying CAB targets nationwide.”

Gardai added that no arrests were made but investigations ongoing.
