Gang busters CAB seize €16K in cash, €35K cocaine and cars in organised crime raids in Louth

The Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) have seized €16,600 in cash, €35,000 of cocaine and a number of high end trucks in a raid targeting organised crime in Louth. 

CAB confirmed that they carried out a search this morning with the assistance of the Emergency Response Unit, Louth Divisional personnel and the Garda Dog Unit.

During the operation, five homes were searched, along with one professional address.

Over the course of the morning officers recovered €16,600 in cash, half kilo of cocaine with a street value of €35,000, a Nissan X-Trail and a Ford Kuga.

According to a statement on CAB’s Facebook page: “This morning’s search operation targeted an Organised Crime Group involved in the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the North East of the country.

“Today’s operation is a significant development in an on-going Criminal Assets Bureau investigation conducted in conjunction with Gardaí attached to the Louth Division.

“Over the course of this ongoing investigation €62,650 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of crime, has previously been seized.”
