Alleged assault Gardai arrest man after stabbing in north Dublin

A man is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed during an incident at a house in North Dublin last night. 

Gardaí say they are investigating the alleged assault that took place at a residence on the North Circular Road at approximately 10.25pm on Friday.

The victim, who is aged in his 30s, was discovered at the house with a number of stab wounds.

He was later taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

However, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Meanwhile, another man, who is aged in his 40s, was arrested at the scene by Gardaí.

“He was conveyed to Store Street Garda Station where he currently detained,” Gardai said this afternoon.

“Investigations ongoing.”
