Woman with 50 previous convictions who tried to kick and spit at gardaí avoids jail

A WOMAN who tried to kick and spit at gardaí when they found her drunk on a city street has been given a three-month suspended sentence.
Maria Godek (34) was struggling with an alcohol problem at the time of the offences.
Godek, of The Crescent, Park West Pointe, Park West Business Park, pleaded guilty to garda obstruction, threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour, public intoxication, refusing to give her name and address, criminal damage and violent behaviour in a garda station.
Dublin District Court heard Godek was aggressive when gardaí came across her at Jervis Street on August 25.
