Three Dublin teens charged with rape and false imprisonment of woman in Belfast

Three teenagers from Dublin have appeared in court in Northern Ireland charged with the alleged rape of a woman.

The men appeared in court on Monday where it was reported they allegedly filmed themselves during the suspected assault.

The court heard all three defendants are accused of rape, sexual assault and false imprisonment.

They have denied all charges.

A prohibition banning the trio from Northern Ireland was imposed as they were granted bail in the High Court

A PSNI spokesperson told the Sunday World: "Detectives from the Public Protection Branch investigating the serious sexual assault of a woman in the Blacks Road area of West Belfast on Saturday, April 2nd have charged three men with a number of offences including rape.

The men, two aged 18 and the third 19, appeared in Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 4th.

As is usual procedure all charges were reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
