Two men accused of money laundering after €374,000 in cash was seized may have the charges struck out if the DPP's directions are not available on the next court hearing.
Carl Buckley (37) and Dylan Byrne (27) were arrested after detectives intercepted two vehicles in Swords.
Judge Dermot Dempsey adjourned the cases to a date in July, peremptory for DPP's directions, meaning the charges may be struck out on the next date if directions are unavailable.
Mr Buckley, of Holywell Crescent South in Swords, appeared before Swords District Court charged with handling €53,000 in cash that was the proceeds of crime at Holywell Commercial Centre in Swords on February 4, 2022.

Mr Byrne, of St Mark's Avenue in Clondalkin, is charged with handling €320,675 which was the proceeds of crime, at the same place and date.
Defence solicitor John Hennessy, for Mr Buckley, and Annette Kealy BL, for Mr Byrne, asked for the charges to be dismissed, saying it had been 82 days since their clients had been charged.
Garda Sergeant Patricia McGarrity said the allegations were quite serious.
The court also heard there was mobile phone evidence and this was being examined. It was expected DPP's directions would be available in eight weeks, a detective said.
The lawyers asked for the case to be marked peremptory for DPP's directions if the judge was unwilling, at this stage, to strike out the charges.
Judge Dempsey adjourned the matters to July.
