Yesterday investigating detectives arrested a man and woman, aged in their 40s and 30s, in relation to the stabbing.

A man in his 40s has been charged over the fatal stabbing of Isaac Horgan at his home in Dublin city centre on Monday.

Isaac ‘Ike’ Horgan (52) bled out after suffering a significant knife wound to his upper leg at the Markievicz House apartment complex in Dublin 2.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene at around 11am and Horgan was rushed to St James's Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Yesterday investigating detectives arrested a man and woman, aged in their 40s and 30s, in relation to the stabbing.

The man has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning at 10:30am.

The woman in her 30s arrested has been released without charge. A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
