
Court appearance Man charged in connection with discovery of woman's body in burning car in Cork
A man (60s) was arrested on suspicion of unlawful killing following the death of the widowed mother-of-three.
A man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in burning car in Doneraile, Co Cork.
The remains of Mary O'Keeffe (72) were found in the vehicle on Thursday.
A post-mortem was carried out on her body but the results have not been released for operational reasons.
A man (60s) was arrested on suspicion of unlawful killing following the death of the widowed mother-of-three.
He is currently detained at Fermoy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
A garda spokesperson revealed he has since been charged and is due to appear before Fermoy District Court, this morning at 11am, 7th February 2021.
