A GRANDMOTHER-of-15 was arrested for drunkenly ranting about "f**king Dubs" after a family row.

Deborah O'Farrell (54) clenched her fists and gritted her teeth as she screamed that it was a "disgrace" to be "living with f**king Dubs", a court heard.

Judge Bryan Smyth fined her €400 for public drunkenness and threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour.

O'Farrell, a mother-of-five from Willmount Estate, Janesboro, Co Limerick, had pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Garda Leigh Higgins told Dublin District Court he saw the accused in an extremely intoxicated state at Ravensdale Road, East Wall, at 12.30am on June 22 last year.

She was falling out on the road and screaming "that is my f**king house. Living with f**king Dubs, that is a f**king disgrace."

O'Farrell told the court she had been visiting her daughter, was under a lot of stress at the time and was left on her own in the house.

When her daughter returned, O'Farrell had three drinks, she said.

There was a row and O'Farrell left the house. It was too late to get a train and when the "Paddy wagon pulled up" she was upset because she realised she had nowhere to go and could either go with the gardaí or end up on the street.

"I have nothing against Dublin, I love coming to Dublin, I wouldn't say those things," she said.

O'Farrell said she was not drunk but was on medication and "high on stress."
