A DUBLIN man accused of seriously assaulting another man has been sent forward for trial.
Daragh Walsh (27) has been ordered to have no contact with the alleged injured party for the duration of the trial.
The accused, of Mourne Close in Skerries, is charged before Swords District Court with seriously assaulting a male at Little Strand Street in Skerries on December 22, 2019.
A State solicitor said the book of evidence was ready and had been served on the accused, who goes forward to the next sittings of Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Judge Dermot Dempsey gave the accused the formal alibi caution.
The judge assigned defence solicitor Bernard Stobie and one junior counsel on free legal aid.
Judge Dempsey further ordered that a video copy of an interview which gardaí conducted with the accused be furnished to his legal team.
Mr Stobie also requested that he receive CCTV footage of the alleged assault.
Mr Walsh was remanded on bail in his own bond of €400 to appear before a court in the Criminal Courts of Justice in May. The accused has not yet indicated a plea to the charge.
